Education Galaxy knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. This notice describes our privacy policy.

What information is collected by Education Galaxy and how is that information used?

Whenever you visit our website, we use cookies to monitor information about your visit. We receive and store the information you enter on our website. Information you provide helps us process your order, improve user experience, and respond directly to customer needs or request. When you submit a contact form or email inquiry, we use that information to respond to your request. In any event that you receive an email you do not want to receive, simply unsubscribe according to the instructions on the email.

Upon online registration for an account, Education Galaxy will ask for information to identify your school or district, a username and password, and your email address provided by the school district. Only teachers can register for an online account and users can only sign up with a verifiable email address through a school. We use the email address to verify the account and to provide Education Galaxy updates. A teacher can optionally provide a username and password for a student to work online with Education Galaxy. The username is created by use of the child’s name and a password is assigned by the teacher.

Mobile application users do not require teacher authentication. Registration of the mobile application is optional. Users can enter student name, teacher name, teacher email, parent name and parent email. Email addresses are used to provide reporting on student progress and occasional updates on Education Galaxy.

Does Education Galaxy share information with any third parties?

We will not share your email address or any other personal information collected via our website with any third party, except in the event that our business is sold or merged with another company that contractually agrees to honor the terms of this privacy policy.

MEMBER ACCOUNTS, PASSWORDS, AND SECURITY

Student Accounts

Education Galaxy allows each student to have their own personal account to login and track performance within Education Galaxy. In order to create student accounts, we do allow schools to enter name and grade level for each student. We do not require any other student information beyond name and grade level. Education Galaxy does not share student information with third parties. Student accounts can alternatively be created without using names and simply using usernames created by their teacher.

Customer Responsibility

When you use Education Galaxy, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. When you visit educationgalaxy.com or send e-mails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
